Principal Electrical Engineer & Software Engineer
I was hired by my graduate advisor to develop a product prototype for his new company NeuZeo, LLC. The device was a smart sleep monitoring device intended to give the most scientifically accurate assessment of sleep. Actually, as far as I know, we developed the only scientifically accurate consumer sleep device prototype ever made.
I did all aspects of the prototype development including:
- Printed Circuit Board Design
- SMD Device Sourcing
- Assembly and soldering under stereo microscope
- Microcontroller programming
- Linux application programming
- GUI design, programming, and testing with Qt
- Hiring and management of engineers
- Wireless communication programming
- Battery management system design and testing
- Project management and resource allocation
In a short 6 months we took a device from idea to fully fleshed out prototype using Angel funds from Tech Launch Arizona.
